What is the difference between a sophisticated and non-sophisticated investor?

Sophisticated investors have prior experience and financial knowledge to assess high-risk investments. They have no restrictions on investment amounts.

Non-sophisticated investors have limited experience and should not invest more than 10% of their annual income in high-risk financial instruments. They also benefit from a 4-day reflection period after signing an investment contract.
