Supplier Guide: Raise a Credit Note for Sellar Credit Orders

If an issue arises with a Customer's order and you have agreed to offer a full or partial refund. A credit note can be raised in Sellar only for Sellar Credit Orders.

As credit is going back to Sellar, rather than the customer, you will need to raise a Credit Note inside Sellar. Not in your Brewery Management or Accounts software.

We will raise two Credit Notes:

Credit Note 1 - This is a Credit Note between your Customer and Sellar. The credit is applied to your Customers monthly Sellar Credit billing amount, reducing the amount they have to pay.

Credit Note 2 - This is a Credit Note between Yourself and Sellar. This will be applied to the next weekly payout and removed from your total. (see more about how payouts work here)

Raise a Credit Note for a Sellar Credit Order

If your Customer used Sellar Credit at checkout how do you raise a Credit Note in Sellar?

  1. Head to your Order List under the Sales option, in the left hand bar.

  2. Find the order you wish to raise a Credit Note against using the search or list and click to open it.

  3. Use the three dots in the top right of the order to get more options.

  4. Use Create Credit note to get started.

  5. Select individual line items and enter either a full or partial amount per line.

  6. Use Create to create the Credit Note. We will send an email to your Customer to let them know one has been created for their order.

  7. If your Sellar is integrated with a Brewery Management System, raise a matching Credit Note against Sellar (Waffle Tech LTD) manually. To balance, duty, stock etc. Find out more here.

This will create two Credit Notes that you can download from Sellar.

What is created and where can I find it?

  1. Head to Sales and then Orders.

  2. Use the search or list to find the order that you have credited. All orders paid for with Sellar Credit will have the Sellar Credit logo.

  3. Scroll down on the order to find the Documents section. Click to download the Credit Note.

Your customer can do exactly the same.
