Creating an Order for Your Customer

In Sellar you can place the first order for your prospects on their behalf if you are there in person for example.

You will want Customers to place their own orders on Sellar. It's quick, easy and shows them everything they need.

But why would I place an order for a Customer?

  • You want to capture the order in person on a visit.

  • You want to get ahead of the curve and place it for them.

  • The Customer is a part of a group that doesn't allow them to place an order due to software or processes.

  1. Use the 'New. button to create an order.

  2. Search and select the customer the new order is for from the list

  3. Remember you have the option to edit any details for delivery just for this order here.

  4. Add Line items to the order, one by one. You can search and select Products, entering a quantity to add to the order. Repeat this till the order is complete.

  5. Edit any discounts or delivery charges just for this order, if needed. Even adding order notes for the Customer.

  6. Everything else is auto-populated by Sellar from the Customer (although this can be overridden).

  7. Select the payment type your Customer wishes to use. Selecting Sellar Credit will mean your Customer will need to accept the order.

  8. Place the order to finish.

Sending a Sellar Credit Payment Link

You may want to send a payment link to a Customer for a simpler way for them to accept the order and add it to their tab.

Why you might send one:

  • Buyers with SC still placing orders manually

Rather than waiting for a buyer to get in touch, you can now take the lead - create the order yourself and request they add it to their SC tab.

  • Buyer groups unable to order via Sellar

If a buyer can't use Sellar due to their internal order management system, you can now generate and send them an SC payment link instead. All they need to do is log in and pay.

  1. Locate the order in your 'Order Requests'

  2. Copy the link from the top of the order and send this to your Customer.
