Here’s a guide to setting up everything you need to start the shift application, along with tips for a quick and easy shift application experience!
What steps should I complete to start applying for shifts?
To apply for shifts, you must complete all the steps of the onboarding process. If there are unfinished steps, the Getting Started steps list will be displayed on the left-side menu, showing the unchecked steps that require your attention. You can access any onboarding step by clicking on it through the Getting Started list. Once all the onboarding steps are done, the ability to search and apply for shifts will be unlocked.
NOTE: since Serenity Vet uses Stripe to process billing, sometimes Stripe requires additional info for account approval. If you still see such a warning on applying for a shift even after the onboarding completion, please navigate to the Billing Settings page and click the "Add Information" button to complete the additional information Stripe has requested:
After you submit all the required information, Stripe will approve your account, and the shift application will be unblocked.
How to apply for a shift?
Applying for a shift is extremely easy! To do so, follow these steps:
Click on the corresponding shift you want to book from the Shift Booking page.
On the shift booking sidebar, click the "Show More" button at the top to see more detailed information about the clinic.
Scroll down to the shift information card to check more details about the shift.
You can apply time and dentistry & surgery services negotiation if it is allowed by the clinic and available on the shift information card. For more information about the suggested negotiation tools and how they work, please read this article.
You can negotiate pay by switching the "Negotiate pay" toggle ON and entering the desired pay number.
Click the "Apply" button to confirm the shift application.
The clinic will now receive your shift application request. If the clinic accepts your application, the shift will be approved, and you will receive the corresponding notification. If you need more information on how to manage your shift applications, please check it out here.
How to make a bulk shift application?
To apply for bulk shifts at the same clinic, go to the Shift Booking page and find a shift card marked with "X more shifts." This mark indicates that the shift posted by the clinic is recurring. To make a bulk shift application, follow these steps:
On the Shift Booking page, click on the shift card with the "X more shifts" mark.
Review the calendar area in the shift booking sidebar. Days marked with purple circles indicate recurring shifts available for booking. To include a day in your bulk application, click on it.
Review the shift information card for more details about the recurring shift.
Apply negotiation settings if required, but please keep in mind that these settings will be applied to all the shifts selected for the bulk application. For more information about the negotiation tools and how they work, please read this article.
Click the "Apply" button to confirm the shift application.
The clinic will now receive your shift application requests. Please note that the clinic will review each shift from the bulk of the shifts you applied to separately, and you will receive corresponding notifications about each one.
