Serenity Vet makes it simple to update your shifts instead of deleting and recreating them. With the Edit Shift feature, you can modify the details of one-time or recurring shifts directly from the Schedule page, giving you more flexibility and control over your scheduling.
How do I edit a one-time shift?
Editing a pending shift is quick and easy. Please follow these steps:
Navigate to the Schedule page and click on the shift you’d like to edit.
In the shift sidebar, click the Edit button.
⚠️ The Edit button is only available for Pending shifts.
The Edit Shift form will open, pre-filled with the shift’s details.
Update any information you need to change.
⚠️ The date and weekday cannot be changed. If you need to change the date or weekday, just use the Shift Duplicate feature.
Click Save to update the shift.
Your changes will be applied right away, and your shift will now reflect the updated information.
How do I edit a recurring shift?
When editing a shift that is part of a recurring series, you can decide whether you want to update just that shift or apply your changes to multiple shifts in the series.
Please follow these steps:
Go to the Schedule page and select a shift from your recurring series.
In the shift sidebar, click Edit.
The Edit Shift form will open, pre-filled with the shift details. Make your updates.
⚠️ The date and weekday cannot be changed. If you need to change the date or weekday, just use the Shift Duplicate feature.
When saving, choose whether to apply your changes to:
This shift only
This and future shifts
All shifts in the series
⚠️ Please note:
Only Pending shifts can be edited.
Shifts that are Applied, Approved, or Not Finalized are excluded from bulk editing when you select This and future shifts or All shifts in the series.
This gives you the flexibility to quickly update a single shift or adjust your schedule in bulk, while keeping confirmed and active shifts unchanged.
With the Edit Shift feature, you can easily keep your schedule accurate and up to date, whether you’re updating a single detail or adjusting a whole series of shifts.
