Note: Only Administrators can create and manage Data blocks.

Want to harness your Assets and make them work even harder? Welcome to the world of Data blocks!

Data blocks are used to store the information about your Assets in Sesimi.

Data blocks draw on the stored metadata of an Asset to control its use in distribution and content creation.

For instance, let’s take the following Asset - a Toyota Yaris. This Asset contains its own metadata under a ‘Vehicle’ Data block.

Data block Title: Vehicle

Brand: Toyota

Model: Yaris

Grade: ZR

Year: 2019

Colour: Arctic White

Disclaimer: This model and grade in the Arctic White colour is only available from select dealerships.

By including this Data block, we can utilise the metadata, especially the disclaimer to complete such tasks as:

  • Instantly include the disclaimer on any content/ad created

  • Limit the permission of this asset to dealerships which carry this make and colour

Data block Components

  1. Data block Name - Vehicle

  2. Data block Fields - Model and Year

  3. Metadata - Corolla 2020, Corolla 2019, Yaris 2020 etc - which can be imported into the Data block (for instance, from a .csv file) so it flows into all the Data block Fields.

When you set up Data blocks in Sesimi, you’ll see them recorded against relevant Assets, appearing at the bottom of the Asset Information window.
