The Visitor Register is a way that you can easily log visitors arriving at your location without needing to use a Login to the Safe Food Pro app. This also allows the visitor to complete a form (i.e. an Induction or Visitor form)
Set Up:
There are 3 steps to setting up a fully customised Set-Up.
Set Up First Time and Returning Visitor Forms
When using the Visitor Register, you can configure a form for the visitor to complete. This is fully customisable. These are broken down into 2 forms:
First Time
Returning
If the Visitor Register does not recognise their name and email, they will be prompted to complete the First Time form. If the Visitor Register recognises their name and email, they will be prompted to complete the Returning form.
Set up two separate forms for First-Time and Returning Visitors. In this section of the article, assign these as needed. If you do not require visitors to complete a form, skip this step.
Log in to your Admin Console
Navigate to Forms
Click the Green Add button to create a new form template
Input your Form Name
Select the Form Category to Visitor Register
Add questions to your form
SAVE

Configure Your Visitor Register Settings
Log in to the Admin Console
Navigate to My Business
Select the Visitor Register tab
From here, you can configure your Visitor Register settings and assign your created forms to the First Time and Returning Journeys.
Set Up Entry Points
After setting up all of your settings, it's time to create your Entry Points and generate your QR code or Kiosk.
Log in to the Admin Console
Head to the Visitor Register tab
Select the Green Plus Icon
Input the asked details (only the ones with the asterisk are mandatory fields)
SAVE
Use your QR Code or Kiosk
Now that your Site Register is set up, we can generate the Site Code and the QR Code for this Entry Point. These are the ways that Visitors will be able to log their visit.
QR Code Method:
Now, we can generate the Site Code and the QR Code for this site. These are the ways that Visitors will be able to log their visit.
Click the Printer icon—this should generate your Entry Point QR Code
Click the Printer Icon in the top right-hand corner to export your QR Code
You can then print this to be available at the Entry Point to be scanned
Visitors can then scan this QR Code and complete their Visitor Log this way.
Kiosk Method:
The Kiosk method allows you to input your Site Code into a tablet, which will be available at the Entry Point. The tablet kiosk will be the main way to log Visitors.
Click the Printer Icon—this should generate your Site Code for your Entry Point (e.g ABC1D2)
On your Tablet, open your Browser (e.g. Safari or Google Chrome)
Go to track.safefoodpro.com/kiosk (or track.safefoodpro.co.nz/kiosk for NZ customers)
Input your Site Code
If you will be using a Tablet as a Kiosk, we suggest using your device's built-in Kiosk Mode. This locks down certain functionality to ensure that no settings are tampered with. We've written up an article with popular Kiosk devices and how to configure settings, which you can view here.
Reporting
Reporting for your Visitor Register is broken down into two sections:
Visitor Form Completion
Visitor Log and Check-in Reporting
Visitor Form Completion:
Any forms that Visitors Complete can be found on the Reports page.
Log in to the Admin Console
Navigate to Reports
Use the Search Bar and Date Ranges to locate the forms
Visitor Log and Check-in Reporting:
Visitor Check-in logs are stored in the Visitor Register page and can be reported on in CSV format.
Log in to your Admin Console
Navigate to Visitor Register
Select the Log button
Customise your Reporting range
Click the Export button to export the logs to CSV
Answering Questions using Visitor Register ( Mobile App or Kiosk Mode)
When a Visitor or Worker opens a Visitor Register form (via QR code or Kiosk tablet), any selected Resource or Signature questions will now be displayed.
To do this:
The visitor simply taps the resource name to open the image, video, URL, or PDF.
The Visitor Register will try to display this in a pop-up so the user stays on the form.
In Kiosk mode, this will pop up within the same tab.
In mobile mode, a new tab may open if security restrictions prevent the resource from displaying in a pop-up.
Once a Visitor completes the Form, it is like any other completed form and can be viewed/printed and emailed as usual.
