How do I set up a deal timeline?

You can now set up a global client timeline and edit it on a per-deal basis.

To set up the global timeline, you will go to your settings and select the timeline tab.

There you will be able to set up separate timelines for buyers and sellers by clicking on the dropdown option in the upper left corner of the page.

Once you've decided which side of the deal you would like to set up, you simply drag and drop the dates you would like to appear on the deal timeline from left to right. You can arrange the dates on the right side in the order you would like them to appear.

We know that different deals can call for different date fields. So we wanted to offer an opportunity to customize the timeline on a deal-by-deal basis.

Each deal's timeline will start with the dates you set up in your Account Settings. If you need to make changes to a particular deal's timeline, you will need to open that deal and click on the timeline heading.

Click the configure button in the right-hand corner, and you will see a rendering similar to that in the Timeline option in Account Settings.

The right-side column houses the dates that will show on that deal's timeline. Drag and drop the dates you want to be added or removed. Then click the View Timeline button to reveal your changes. These changes will be reflected in that client's Client Portal.
