Recordings and Sharing

We, including any of our associated entities, may record research activities but we’ll always let you know before we start recording and you can get us to pause this at any time. You may ask for a copy of your recording by contacting us at research@sharesies.com.

We collect and keep recordings securely in line with our Collection Notice and Privacy Statement, found on our website. Staff may request access to your recordings for their work and we review each request. Recordings are deleted after 5 years, but we retain any transcripts, reports, data analysis or other findings derived from recordings.

We may share the information you provide with third party service providers for the purpose of developing and enhancing our products, customer research and the Sharesies experience. We will not sell or distribute your information to third parties for any other purpose.

Confidentiality

We may use third parties to help us perform and/or participate in this research.

We may show you some of our products, features, designs, concepts, or services that may not yet be publicly available yet, which, together with any information shared with you that is not publicly available, constitutes our confidential information. You agree not to use, retain copies or disclose our confidential information, at any time, for any purpose whatsoever.

Sharesies retains full rights and ownership of all confidential information disclosed to you. Should we use your feedback in the design of our product or other elements of our brand you will not receive any compensation, beyond any Gift offered as part of the research activity, nor will you have any claim to the intellectual property of the feedback you share.

Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

You understand and agree that we may use for internal purposes the following: photographs and/or videos taken of you which may include your voice, name, appearance and other personally identifiable information provided by you. We will treat your personal information as confidential

We may use the information you provide or recordings to contribute to research reports or findings, as well as build out ideas and product design.

Any identifying information will be anonymised before being included in any subsequent report.

Gift Acknowledgement

You acknowledge that you may receive a gift for your time and contribution to this research.

Other Provisions

This Agreement and any disputes relating to this Agreement are governed by the laws of New South Wales and each party submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New South Wales courts. This Agreement is the entire agreement between yourself and Sharesies, and replaces any prior written or oral agreements.

Consent

You understand that participation in this research activity is completely voluntary and you are free to withdraw from participating before, or at any point during the activity. Participation in this research does not constitute a partnership, employment or any other affiliation with Sharesies.

You understand that you can choose not to respond to questions you would rather not answer.

By participating in the research activity, you confirm you have the full power and authority to grant the rights set out in these terms.
