  1. Where available, you may choose to link your bank account with your Sharesies account and enable supporting functions and features, such as round-ups or any other future function or feature made available on the Sharesies platform.

  2. You can only link accounts from supported banks (Authorised Deposit-Taking Institutions (ADIs)). We will advise you during the linking process if your bank account is eligible to be linked.

  3. By linking your bank account, you confirm that you have the appropriate authorisation to link the account. You acknowledge that when you link your account, we will be able to see specific data and receive specific information for the purposes of connecting your bank account for direct debits, set regular deposit amounts and enable round-ups on transactions and you give us express permission to do so.

  4. We use Basiq Pty Ltd (ABN 95 616 592 011) (Basiq) to support our bank linking functionality. Basiq operates a data aggregation platform (Platform) to retrieve and collate the data from your linked bank account.

  5. You authorise and appoints us and its service providers, expressly including Basiq, as your limited agent solely for the purpose of accessing third party data sources designated by you via the Consumer Data Right (CDR) or such third party websites, applications and servers, and retrieving information and related documents (your Data) from your specified account for the purposes of collecting and collating your obtained Data. Both us and Basiq will use due skill and care in acting as limited agents. For these purposes, you licence to us, and authorise us to grant Basiq a non-exclusive, royalty-free sub-license to authentication details and other information required for the access to User Accounts.

  6. You acknowledge we will rely upon the information you give us to provide you the services, including the information to process your direct debits, and you are responsible for providing us with true, accurate and complete information. You agree that you will notify us of any changes to the information you have provided us as soon as practicable.

  7. We handle your information in accordance with our Privacy Statement and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and applicable consumer data regulations, including where we share information with others.

  8. Fees may apply for transactions from your linked bank account to your sharesies Wallet. We will advise you where fees apply.

  9. Certain features, such as Round-Ups, will require a Direct Debit Request Service Agreement (DDRSA) to be agreed upon to establish the Direct Debit functionality required to access the feature.

  10. Cancellations of Direct Debits can take between 1 to 5 business days to process. You will need to let us know at least 5 business days prior to your next direct Debit Date if you wish to cancel. Where you notify us less than 5 prior to the Direct Debit occurring we do not guarantee that your Direct Debit will be cancelled prior to your next Direct Debt date.

  11. Where you have enabled round-up functionality, you acknowledge that if you hit your round-up tally that triggers a Direct Debit prior to the end of the 5 business day notice period required to cancel your Direct Debit, this amount may still be processed where cancellation occurs.

  12. You acknowledge that Basiq is acting as our subcontractor and that your sole recourse is under your agreement/s with us. Basiq is in no way responsible for your relationship with your ADI or us and you release Basiq from all liability and will hold Basiq harmless against any and all claims resulting directly or indirectly from Basiq’s access to your bank account and the retrieval and collation of your Data.
