Important: Expressing interest to sell, buy, or transfer shares is only available if the company you hold shares in has enabled and supports this feature in Sharesies Private.
If this option isn’t available to you, follow these steps.
What is “expressing interest”?
Expressing interest allows you to signal that you’d like to:
Sell shares
Buy shares
Transfer shares
This does not guarantee a transaction will occur. It simply lets the company (or administrator) know your intent so they can coordinate opportunities where possible.
How to express interest
1. Go to your shareholding
Log in to Sharesies Private
Navigate to the company and your shareholding
2. Select “Express interest”
Choose whether you want to request to:
Sell shares
Buy shares
Transfer shares
Express interest to buy shares
Select Request to buy shares
Enter:
The number of shares or dollar amount you’d like to request to purchase
If required by the company, you may also need to select:
A specific timeframe, or
An offer round you want to participate in
Review your request
Submit your expression of interest

Manage or delete existing requests
You can view and manage your existing expressions of interest at any time.
Go to your Shareholdings tab (left menu).
Select Express interest

Choose the relevant Request tab:
Buy
Sell
Transfer
Review your existing requests, including date, number of shares, and (if applicable) offer round
If you no longer want a request:
Delete the request
Note: Editing an existing request isn’t currently supported. If you need to make changes, you’ll need to delete your existing request and submit a new one.
What happens next?
Your request is sent to the company or administrator
They may:
Match buyers and sellers
Facilitate a transfer
Include you in a future offer round
You’ll be notified if there’s an opportunity to proceed.
Things to keep in mind
Submitting an expression of interest does not create a binding transaction.
Availability and process depend on the company’s rules and settings.
Timing and outcomes may vary.
If you have questions, we recommend reaching out directly to the company to learn more about what shareholder rules are in place and how they manage share requests.
