Co-operative Companies
New Zealand Co-operative companies require an additional document (Special Resolution by Directors) when they submit their annual return. Please email us if you're an NZ Co-operative Company and you'd like to submit.
Where do I submit my annual return?
To begin your annual return, your company must be connected to the New Zealand Companies Office API. If this is not set up, the Sharesies Private team can help you out with this (the annual return feature will be missing from your menu). Once your company has been set up, you'll be able to find your annual return in your menu under Companies Office (NZ):

Sharesies Private provides you with an overview of key pieces of information before you are able to submit your company annual return. Please check these details are accurate and amend any changes before submitting.
Company addresses – Make amendments to your registered office address, address for service and address for communication via the NZ Companies Office website.
Ultimate holding company – Make amendments to ultimate holding company via the NZ Companies Office website.
Directors – Make amendments to your company Directors via Sharesies Private (the menu option is 'Directors').
Shareholders – To make changes to shareholder addresses or shareholdings, visit the 'Share register' and 'Shareholders' section in Sharesies Private.
Submitting my annual return
Finally, before you're able to file your annual return you must confirm a statement that the details listed are correct and accurate, and you must make a declaration of your designation within the company.
Once you click on the submit button, Sharesies Private will queue your filing to be processed with the Companies Office. This takes less than a minute to process.
Sharesies Private is aware that the NZ Companies Office is experiencing an issue with the filing of annual returns. If you submit your annual return successfully and the 'Last filed' date doesn't update to the current month and year, please contact us.
