Options for sheepApp and integrating it to your website.

Please refer to the previous article below for the features and tools provided by sheepApp.

Everything detailed in the previous article (above) could be achieved with a customised website and detailed technical integration, using our API to automate data sharing and record creation in your CRM.

However, this will be an expensive and technical approach, so it's only suitable or attainable to those with that level of available resources and we think it's only necessary if you need a very specific custom user experience. Our team provides guidance and documentation for this approach as part of our chargeable services.

The aim of sheepApp is to provide you with all of these essential tools as part of your licence fee (NB: Some set up costs also apply), without the need and cost to build a customised website and deep technical integrations with your CRM.

The options for you to find the best balance and set of tools for your organisation and its customers are;

  1. Don't use sheepApp - Fully customised integration from your website to your sheepCRM.

    • sheepCRM has an API and public technical documentation to enable your agency or developer to achieve this. (NB: use of API is subject to licence level)

  2. Fully adopt sheepApp - Which means your website is only responsible for promoting your services, providing organisational info etc. sheepApp handles all engagement, sign ups, user account area, gated content etc.

    1. The sheepCRM team provide set up services and support for you to take this option and it is unusual for any technical input to be required from your website agency.

  3. Blended approach (website user area and sheepApp) - If your organisation has uncommon levels of gated content or the need to give access to features on your website which sheepApp does not support. This means it is recommended that integrate the user access (login) so the website can validate users when they use their sheepApp login (user name and password).

    • This option brings more choices to explore but the key options to share now are how you can achieve that user account technical integration.

      • sheepCRM support OAuth2 - which is the current industry standard for integration of user access to websites and other platforms.

        • There are other 3rd party products to make this simpler such as Mini-Orange which are worth considering.

      • User access integration can also be achieved with other uses of our API to use the sheepApp user name and password.

Please read the article below for guidance on launching sheepApp to your customers and members.
