Sherpa offers payment protection to students who are unhappy with the quality of teaching they have received on the platform.

The First Course of Action

The easiest and quickest way to receive a refund on Sherpa is to ask your tutor via messages.

If you have both agreed on the reason for the refund, the tutor will usually accept this straight away. You'll receive the funds back to your account within 5-10 working days.

If Your Tutor Isn't Happy to Refund a Booking

If you want to escalate the issue or formally request a refund after a session, you must start a dispute.

This request must be created within 48 hours of completing a booking.

Go to the 'Manage Bookings' tab, and then click on 'Completed Bookings'.

From here, you can dispute a lesson charge by clicking the three dots to reveal more options. Click "Request a Refund" to start the dispute process.

You need to fill out the reason why you’re looking for a refund, as well as a choice of a full or partial refund (50/50 split or other combination).

Please provide as much information as possible for the possibility the dispute is passed onto our team for review.

Our team will review the case and may get in touch with you to request some more details.

In the case that your request is successful, you will receive the refund paid into your account within 5-10 working days. You will also receive regular email updates with the status of your request.
