You can easily change your rate for new students, whilst keeping your rate the same for existing students.

The fee that you charge per lesson is entirely up to you and can be changed at any point.

Default Price

The number shown on your profile to the students and potential tutees is your default price or display price. This is what all lessons will default to for a booking. This can be changed by logging into Sherpa and heading to the 'My Profile' tab on your dashboard or 'Settings' from the drop-down menu in the top right corner.

Go to the Settings Page

When adjusting your rate, keep in mind that the actual amount that will be paid to your account is displayed above the entry field.

Flexible Lessons

The fee you charge is not a set rate across all of your lessons. The default fee at the time a booking is made will be the price of all lessons within that booking. Making changes to your fee does not affect the price of prior bookings already made.

You are able to alter your fee for one or more lessons by creating the lesson booking request yourself. When you create a booking, Sherpa will ask you how much you would like to charge for all lessons within the booking.

This does not occur on the student side so if you did have a booking that you wanted to charge more money, for a higher level or specialist subject, then you need to create the booking request yourself.

Entering a Custom Booking Rate

After the first few stages of setting up a booking, enter your custom rate.

Recurring Sessions

When you create a recurring booking (for example a weekly session with a student), your default or chosen custom rate will be locked in for that recurring session including future repeat lessons that have not been created yet.

You can easily check those that are scheduled by going to 'View and Edit' the booking, which will show the date, duration and hourly rate for each session:

Viewing your Existing Booking Details

You can see what price you are currently paying for lessons by visiting your bookings page and clicking the green "edit" button next to the relevant session.

Then review the price listed under each individual lesson within the booking that was agreed upon in the booking request.
