Responding to new requirement messages promptly is one of the biggest factors determining whether a new message will turn into an introduction and eventually a booking.

Whilst responding to requirement messages quickly is critical, there are some things you need to know about the response time system:

  • Working Hours: You're not expected to pick up new requirement messages outside of reasonable working hours quickly. If you receive a new message from a student between 9pm and 7am, this won't be taken into account when calculating your response time.

  • Requirement messages only. Response time is only calculated from a student's first message to you. Other replies to students are not taken into account.

  • Accepting an introduction or booking request will send a message. If a potential new student sends a booking or introduction request and you accept it, that counts as a response from you.

  • You can hide your profile at any time. If you're going away for a short period and don't have access to your account, you can always temporarily hide your profile so you don't receive any new requirement messages.

If you have any concerns about how response times are calculated or would like to make a suggestion as to how to improve this system - please don't hesitate to get in touch!
