Are you interested in creating content for Sherpa?
This gives you the chance to share an interesting piece of content with potential students, drive traffic to your profile and boost your ranking in search results!
We are looking for:
Blog Posts - (1,000-2,000 words)
Comments or Quotes - (200-500 words)
Cheatsheet (Revision Resources) - (1-2 A4 Pages)
Blogs can be on anything within your subject area or more generally related to online tutoring or helpful to the student experience.
Note on using AI generators for content eg. Chat GPT
All content must contain your own words and no AI-generated content.
We understand the benefits of using AI to generate ideas, but the content is often very general and unhelpful to those searching the web looking for specific answers or advice, so it is unlikely to rank well on Google searches and cannot be accepted on the platform.
Your own personal insight on the topics is much more unique and interesting, so using your expertise and experience to go beyond will provide good quality content that will be accepted and eligible for a profile boost.
Here are some successful examples:
Archie recently wrote a piece on his advice on how to become a veterinarian which helped put his profile in front of hundreds of new students and resulted in several new students making bookings with him.
Ruth wrote a blog on exam advice for GCSE English Language Paper 1 Question 2 that received 497 new visitors in one day during the exam period 2023.
Alternatively, we are always looking for shorter quotes and comments from tutors with specific experience as a student, tutor or teacher - or even as a professional in certain fields we may be writing content about.
Click the button below to see Sherpa's requested content list! This includes suggested blog titles, revision resources and comment requests with guidance on what we are looking for.
Why should I create content?
We are allowing tutors to help use their expertise to create articles and resources or provide comments to help us extend our reach with quality content while helping you bolster your profile and move to the top of the search rankings - all to help you connect with more students.
The benefits you receive:
Featured profile section on the blog page with direct links to contact you.
Featured profile section in the newsletter alongside blogs
Profile on top of all tutor search results (and Find a Tutor Front Page) for 7 days
Benefits for a shorter quote, comment or revision cheat sheet:
The tutor's profile is linked to the blog page where the comment or quote is mentioned.
Ranking boost to the front page for 5 days.
Each article will boost tutors within our algorithm. So if you are looking to increase the number of students that enquire with you, this is a great place to start. On average, blog writers receive at least 2 new student enquiries.

FAQs:
Can I submit more than one?
Yes you can. The more the better! We can’t guarantee when they will be posted but we will post all the articles we receive if they meet our standards.
Will you make any changes?
If required, to optimise the content, we will be making changes to the article and repurposing the format in order to meet our brand guidelines.
How will you promote the article?
We will be posting each article on our social channels. Select few articles will be posted in our newsletter. It will be picked up in search rankings on Google. For example: Googling “benefits of tuition” will display the Sherpa blog as the number 1 search result.
What can I do to help promote the article?
The best way to help promote your content is to share it yourself on social channels, with friends and even contact local papers who repost the content on their own sites. Whilst we will do all the above, a 2 pronged approach is always best.
