After results day, your students, or their parents, will likely get in touch to let you know how they did in their exams with your help.

If you had more than 5 lessons with them in the previous academic year, you'll be able to track their grade improvements on Sherpa.

Then, from early September 2024, you'll be able to showcase average grade improvements on your profile to potential new students!

This is a fantastic selling point to help potential parents understand the impact you can have on their child's educational outcomes.

How to Add Grades for a Student

Please note: This is only visible if you've taught 5 or more lessons a student in the previous academic year.

  1. For each student you have on Sherpa, click the white "Report Results 23/24" button in the conversation sidebar.

  2. Fill in the field with the grade the student came to you with and the month you started lessons with them.

    1. If you're not sure on the month or grade, you can ask your student, or give your best approximation.

  3. Next, fill in the most recent grade they notified you about and the month of the last lesson you had with them.

  4. Click save and finish to report the grade improvements.

The student/parent can remove reported improvements if they are inaccurate. Please ensure you only record grade improvements reported by your student or their parent/guardian as they will be cross-referenced.

Adding Grades on Mobile

Adding grade improvements on mobile works exactly the same as above - except you need to use the "three dots" icon at the top of a conversation and then tap "Report Results".

Managing Grade Improvements

You can manage and delete any grade improvements previously saved in your new 'Grade Improvements' section of 'My Profile', found on the sidebar in your dashboard.
