ShiftCare allows you to share client information, care plans, and documents with staff members via the mobile app.
đď¸ To access this information, a staff member must be rostered on a shift for the client.
How Staff Access Client Information
Open the ShiftCare mobile app
Select a shift from the schedule
Tap the clientâs name on the shift details page. This will open the clientâs profile.
For shifts with multiple clients:
Tap the arrow next to a clientâs name to select and view their details.
What Information Can Staff Access?
Within the client profile, staff will see the following tabs:
Details (Public Information)
Displays information entered in the Public Information section of the client profile, such as:
General Information
Need to know information
Useful information
Support Needs and Requirements (Disability / Support Need, Requirements, and Preferences)
Tip: Admins can manage what information is visible to staff by updating the Public Information fields. You can use the Client Public Information function to share relevant details with your staff. This allows you to select which information, such as phone number, allergies, email, etc., you want to make public.
Documents
Shows all client-related documents, such as:
Care plans
Assessments
Reports
Important: Documents will only appear if Staff visibility is set to Yes.
PDFs open directly in the app
Other file types will download to the device
Contact
The Contact tab shows client contact details from the Demographic section.
To enable this tab:
Go to Account â Settings
Turn on Share client info with carers
Notes on Contact Information
The displayed name is the Display Name
Only the mobile number is shown (not landline)
Date of birth does not include the day
Address, religion, and marital status are not shown
If multiple languages are selected, all will be listed
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Can staff view a participantâs information if theyâre on the participantâs team but donât have any shifts yet?
No. Staff can access a participantâs full details only after they have been assigned to a shift for that participant.
Even if a staff member is part of a team linked to multiple participants, they wonât be able to view those participantsâ information until they are rostered on a shift with them.
