Carrier Instructions can be configured by a shipper to provide additional instruction to carriers regarding Billing & Shipping processes. The user can access these fields by Selecting Manage > Company > Carrier Instructions. These instructions are hard coded fields that will be displayed on documentation within the platform.
Billing Instructions: Billing Instructions can be used to advise the carrier of a process that needs to be followed for inquiries related to Settlements.
Notes for Carrier: Additional Instructions can be provided to remind carriers of a process that needs to be followed as requested by the Shipper. Examples would include a reminder to carriers that “All facilities require trailers to be empty, clean, and ready to load upon arrival”. The information displayed here will be visible to the carrier during the tendering process. From the shipper side, if a user is tendering directly to a carrier, it will look as follows:
When the carrier receives the email, the information will be displayed accordingly:
This information will also be included on the carrier’s Rate Confirmation, and BOL, as well as within the Carrier Contact Card displayed within the Shipment Details screen on the Carrier Portal.
Email Preferences → Tender Emails:
A shipper can enable this functionality to allow the Carrier to Accept or Reject tenders directly via email instead of having to log into the Carrier Portal to view tendered shipments.
Messaging Preferences → SMS Messages:
A shipper can enable this functionality to allow a Driver to receive an SMS text message when a shipment message is posted. This messaging is only notification that a message was sent. The carrier will still need to log into the portal, or utilize their mobile app to communicate directly with the shipper.
Carrier Rate Preferences → Load Board: Show Target Rate on Load Board
Shippers now have the option to share their target rate with carriers on the load board. To enable this capability the user needs to go to Manage Company and Carrier Instructions:
The carrier will then see the Target Rate when placing a bid:
