Service Level Agreements (SLA) allow the user to be able to assign volume and capacity commitments to their carriers, on a per lane basis. These Service Level Agreements will be linked directly to the Contract listed for the carrier within Shipwell. In order to create the SLA, the user must complete the following steps:
Select Company
Select Lane Management, and then SLAs from the drop-down menu.
Once Lane Management has been selected, you can create the SLA via Import, or Manually by selecting the SLA+ icon.
Once you have selected the SLA icon, you will begin entering in your capacity agreements.
The required fields are as follows:
Status:
Active or Inactive
Details:
Service Level Agreement Name
Total Capacity; Dedicated Load Volume, & Cadence
This can be set on a Per Day, Per Week, or Per Month Basis.
Start & End Dates
Notes
Documents- Any supported documentation can be attached.
Clone SLA- The user has the option to clone the existing SLA as a starting point for a new SLA.
If you are looking to Import your SLA, you can select the Import Button, and then Download CSV Template.

Now that the SLA has been created, the user will need to create and assign it to the proper Contract.
Within the Lane Management tab, the user will need to select an existing Contracts, or Create New:
Once selected, the user can assign the proper SLA from the drop-down menu.
Now that the SLA has been assigned, the SLA metrics will populate below.
Now that the SLA has been linked, when the user creates a shipment and awards it to the carrier, the system will follow the Contracted Capacity agreement, until the load volume limit has been met.
