A rate confirmation is a document that confirms the agreed-upon rate and shipment details between a broker/shipper and a carrier. This article explains how carriers can access their rate confirmation in Shipwell.
For Carriers: How to Get Your Rate Confirmation
If you are a carrier and have not received your rate confirmation:
Check your email inbox (including spam/junk folder) β rate confirmations are typically emailed as a PDF when a load is tendered to you.
Log into the Shipwell Carrier Portal β if you have portal access, you can find the shipment and download the rate confirmation from the Documents section.
Contact the broker or shipper directly β if the load was booked outside of Shipwell or by a company that uses a different platform, the broker/dispatcher who assigned the load can resend the rate confirmation.
For Shippers: How to Resend a Rate Confirmation
Open the shipment in Shipwell.
Go to the Documents section of the shipment detail page.
Find the rate confirmation document and use the share/download option to send it to the carrier.
Notes
Rate confirmations are generated when a carrier is assigned and confirmed on a shipment.
If the shipment was not created in Shipwell (e.g., booked externally), there may not be a rate confirmation in the system.
