Step-by-step guide for downloading shipment data as a CSV file from the Shipwell dashboard

Written by Shipwell Help

Exporting Shipments to Excel/CSV

Shipwell allows you to export shipment data as a CSV file, which can be opened directly in Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet tools. This is done through the Bulk Actions menu on the Shipments Dashboard.

Steps to Download Shipments as CSV

  1. Go to the Shipments Dashboard from the main navigation.

  2. Use the filters and search to narrow down the shipments you want to export (e.g., by date range, status, mode).

  3. Select the shipments you want to export by checking the checkboxes next to each shipment row. You can also select all visible shipments using the header checkbox.

  4. Click the Bulk Actions dropdown at the top of the shipment list.

  5. Select Download Shipments from the menu.

  6. The CSV file will be downloaded to your browser automatically. Open it in Excel or any spreadsheet application.

What Data is Included in the CSV?

The CSV export includes the columns currently configured in your dashboard view, such as:

  • Reference ID

  • Status

  • Mode and Equipment Type

  • Customer & Customer Reference Number

  • BOL Number, PRO Number, PO Number

  • Pickup and Delivery dates and locations

  • Total weight and miles

  • Assigned carrier

Tip: Customize your dashboard columns before exporting to control exactly which data fields appear in your CSV file. See Shipments Dashboard Management for how to add, remove, and reorder columns.

Advanced Analytics

For more detailed or customized reporting beyond the CSV export, Shipwell offers Advanced Analytics capabilities. Contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to learn about available reporting options for your account.
