Automatically Archiving Shipments in Shipwell

Shipwell includes a built-in Auto-Archive feature that automatically archives shipments once they reach a certain status and have been in that status for a configured number of days. This keeps your Shipments Dashboard clean without requiring manual archiving.

How to Configure Auto-Archive Settings

  1. Go to Manage β†’ Company (top navigation or sidebar).

  2. On the Company Profile page, scroll down to the Auto-Archive Settings section (located in the lower portion of the page).

  3. In the Auto-Archive Shipment Status field, select one or more shipment statuses that should trigger auto-archiving (e.g., Draft, Quoting, Delivered).

  4. In the Auto-Archive After (Days) field, enter the number of days a shipment must remain in the selected status before it is automatically archived.

  5. Click Save to apply the settings.

Example

If you set the status to Delivered and the days to 5, any shipment that has been in the Delivered status for 5 or more days will be automatically moved to the archive.

Viewing Archived Shipments

Archived shipments are hidden from the main Shipments Dashboard by default. To view them, use the Include archived shipments filter option on the dashboard.

Manual Archiving

You can also archive individual shipments manually from the shipment detail page using the Archive option in the actions menu. Additionally, you can bulk archive multiple shipments from the dashboard using Bulk Actions β†’ Archive Shipments.

For more information, see Archiving Shipments.
