Overview
If you are a carrier assigned to a shipment in Shipwell, you can add your truck (power unit) and trailer details directly to the shipment record. This article explains how to find and update those fields.
Steps to Add Truck and Trailer Information
Log in to the Shipwell Carrier Portal at app.shipwell.com.
Navigate to the shipment you are assigned to. You can find it on your Shipments Dashboard or search by shipment reference ID (e.g., EDSL77).
Open the shipment by clicking on its reference ID.
On the Shipment Details page, locate the Power Unit and Trailer fields. These are typically found in the carrier assignment/equipment section.
Enter your truck number in the Power Unit field and your trailer number in the Trailer field.
Save your changes.
Notes
You must be the assigned carrier on the shipment to update these fields.
Adding power unit and trailer information helps shippers track your equipment and supports automated tracking via telematics integrations (e.g., ELD integrations).
If you do not see the Power Unit or Trailer fields, contact your Shipwell representative—field visibility may depend on your account configuration.
