Part 1 — Get Your Estes Credentials
You will need the following from Estes before configuring anything in Shipwell:
MyEstes Username and Password — your Estes online portal login
Estes Account Number — found on a previous BOL or invoice (also called Customer/Shipper Number)
Step 1 — Create a MyEstes Account (if you do not have one)
Sign up at estes-express.com/myestes/home/login. Your MyEstes username and password are required for every API call.
For questions or support, contact Estes Web Support at WebSupport@estes-express.com or call (804) 353-1900, Ext. 2600, press 3.
Part 2 — Configure Estes in Shipwell
In Shipwell, navigate to the Carrier Profile for Estes Express.
Click the Accounts tab in the left margin.
Click Add Account.
Fill in the following:
Account Name (required) — give it a meaningful name (e.g. "Estes Express - Main").
Account Credentials (required) — enter your Account Number, MyEstes Username, and MyEstes Password as prompted.
Modes (required) — select LTL (and any others that apply).
Origins — leave blank unless you need per-location routing with multiple accounts.
Destinations — leave blank for a single account.
Optional settings to consider:
Allow PRO # Assignment From Carrier — check this to auto-assign a PRO number at dispatch (recommended for LTL).
Bill To Terms — set if you want Prepaid, Collect, or 3rd Party applied automatically at dispatch.
Click Test Connection to validate your credentials before saving. A success message confirms Shipwell can reach the Estes API. If it fails, re-check your MyEstes credentials and Account Number for typos.
Click Save.
Part 3 — Verify It is Working
Once saved, go to the Instant Rate Results screen on a shipment. You should see Estes rates appear with your account name displayed under the carrier logo. If rates do not return, double-check your credentials — particularly your Account Number and MyEstes Username and Password.
