Products are line items that you can add to an order of Shipment. Your Shipwell account allows you to keep a library of products so that you don't have to enter product information every time you make a shipment.

To add products:

  1. Select Manage > Products.

  2. Select Add Product

  3. Add a helpful image to identify the product.

  4. In the Product Information section, add all required information related to your product.

    • Reference*: the identifier for your product

    • Description*: a small write up of the product

    • Piece Type: The way that the product is packaged, (e.g., bag, case, reel, skid)

    • Value Per Piece: The dollar value associated with one piece

  5. Lastly, add all related Shipping Parameters, including:

    • Package-Type: e.g., pallet, roll, floor loaded

    • Length, Width, Height

    • Freight Class: The product's freight class for all future shipments

    • NMFC Code: The product's NMFC Code for all future shipments

    • NMFC Sub Code: The product's NMFC Sub Code for all future shipments this product is on

    • Stackable: Checkbox to indicate if the product can be stacked during transit

    • Hazmat: Checkbox to indicate if the product is hazmat - A drop down box of hazmat codes will appear if checked

    • Refrigeration Required: Checkbox to indicate if refrigeration is required for this product, if checked a field box for maximum and minimum temperatures will appear
