After you've created a Routing Guide, initiating the guide can help Shipments run more efficiently through stops.
To initiate a Routing Guide, select a previously created Shipment, go to the bottom of the Shipment Details and select Send to Carriers > Push to Routing Guide.
Next, select a Routing Guide from the drop-down of previously created guides.
Upon selection, the Routing Guide details page appears. Confirm the details of the Routing Guide, then select Run Guide.
The Shipment Details page appears and the “Routing Guide” schedule populates.
Each step of the Routing Guide is shown in the Routing Guide section. Depending on what step the shipment status is in, an associated action can be taken during that step.
To cancel the Routing Guide, select Cancel Routing Guide.
Push to Routing Guide from an already-built shipment
Navigate to the shipment within the platform, and click “Send to Carriers” > “Push to Routing Guide”
The below modal will pop up, and the user will choose which already-created Routing Guide to execute.
Once the Routing Guide is selected, that Routing Guide’s details will appear. These details are not editable so this screen is solely for confirmation.
After confirming this is the routing guide a user wants to execute, they will click “Run Guide”
The user will then be re-routed to the Shipment Details page and the following “Routing Guide” schedule will populate.
A user can click “Cancel Routing Guide” if desired
And they can see the list of actions associated with that routing guide, along with which step the execution is currently on.
