Introduction

Shipwell’s platform provides a comprehensive suite of tools designed to streamline the shipping and logistics processes for businesses of all sizes. One of the key features of the platform is the Analytics tab. This section of the platform offers an array of analytics and reporting tools that allow you to track, analyze, and report on various aspects of your shipping operations. In this article, we will guide you through the essential functions available in the Analytics tab, including setting filters, scheduling reports, downloading reports, and outlining the custom report process.

Setting Filters

Filters allow you to narrow down the data displayed on the analytics dashboard. This helps in focusing on the specific data that is most relevant to your needs. To set filters:

  1. Navigate to the Analytics tab on the Shipwell platform.

  2. Locate the ‘Filters’ section on the top of the desired report indicated in the figure below.

  3. Select the filter criteria from the drop-down menus. You can filter the data by various criteria such as date range, equipment type, mode, shipment status, and more depending on the report.

  4. Once you have selected your filter criteria, click the reload button to the right to update the desired report and dashboard with the filtered data.

Scheduling a Report

Scheduling reports is an efficient way to receive regular updates on your shipping operations. To schedule a report:

  1. Go to the Analytics tab.

  2. Click on the ‘Schedule Delivery’, located under the vertical ellipses in the top right corner of the page illustrated below.

  3. A pop-up window will appear. Select the settings of the report, the filters, and advanced options. You can specify the format in PDF, CSV, XLSX (in tabular reports), and PNG. You can also specify the delivery frequency, timing, and timezone in your report.

  4. Click ‘Save’ to set up the report schedule. You may also send a test report to verify your settings are correct.

  5. Existing schedules can be viewed and edited by clicking the 'Scheduled Delivery' option shown below.

Downloading a Report

Downloading reports allows you to save and share the analytics data offline. To download a report:

  1. Navigate to the Analytics tab.

  2. After applying the necessary filters and viewing the data you are interested in, click on the ‘Download’ option, under the vertical ellipses.

  3. Select the format in which you want to download the report (e.g., PDF, Excel (tabular data), or CSV).

  4. Click ‘Download’ to save the report to your device or open in a browser.

Accessing Shared, Group, and Personal Reports

  1. Navigate to the Analytics tab.

  2. Click on the folder icon located in the top right of the report shown below. This will open up Favorites, My Folder, Group, and Shared folders.

  3. Your personal reports will be in My Folder, your company's reports will be in Group, and Shared curated reports are under Shared.

  4. Click on the sub-folder to find the report you are looking for

Creating a Custom Report

If the available reports do not meet your specific needs, you can request a custom report tailored to your requirements. To request a custom report:

  1. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) with the details of the report you need, including the data points, frequency, and format.

  2. The CSM will work with our analytics team to create the report as per your specifications.

  3. Once the report is created, it will be stored in a group folder accessible to your team.

Conclusion

The Analytics tab on the Shipwell platform offers a robust suite of tools designed to help you make data-driven decisions and optimize your shipping operations. By understanding how to set filters, schedule, and download reports, and request custom reports, you can leverage the full potential of the Analytics tab.
