Overview
A driver and or dock worker is able to add a signature to the Shipwell BOL from the Shipwell mobile app. Signatures on glass will only be available for the Shipwell BOL and not for any other document type.
Furthermore, a driver can capture more than one signature per stop. The system will derive current stop, but a driver will be able to override selection. Every signature will require the user to enter their full name and assign a role. Signatures will be added to the Shipwell BOL as an addendum.
Six Step Guide On How to Use:
Navigate to the Documents section of the Shipwell Mobile app and select the BOL document.
This will launch the Document Info screen. The Add Signature button will be active.
Once you select Add Signature the system will derive the current stop based on tracking data. For example, if the Stop Status for Stop 2 is Arrived the system will identify this as the current stop. Alternatively, if there is no tracking data and the Shipment Status is Tendered or Dispatched the system will default to the first stop. A user can override the automatic stop selection if incorrectly derived.
The signature page will require the user to enter their name and select a role. There are multiple roles to choose from: Driver, Dock Worker, Customer, Supplier, Security, Front Office. The Save button will not become active until all fields and a signature has been provided. All fields along with the stop details will be passed through to the Shipwell BOL.
Once a signature has been saved it will be recorded on the Document Info page. A user can add repeat steps 2 to 4 and add another signature if required, for example, a driver and a customer can sign from the same flow.
To send the signatures to the Shipwell BOL a user will select Save. They will be compiled together and will be added as an addendum to the existing Shipwell BOL. All signatures will be viewable from the Shipment Details page under Documents in platform.
Steps 1 through 6 can be repeated by a user or user(s).
