My Refund Hasn't Appeared in My Account

Your refund was approved but you don't see it in your account yet

Issue:

You have received a notification that you have been refunded, but the money has not yet appeared in your account.

Possible Causes:

  1. Processing Time: Refunds processed through Apple and Google payment systems can take some time to reflect in your account.

  2. Payment Method: The refund will be sent to the original payment method used for the purchase, which could be a credit/debit card, bank account, or a third-party payment service. Be sure to check the right account for the refund.

  3. Banking Delays: Your bank or financial institution may have its own processing times that can delay the refund.

Steps to Resolve:

1. Start by checking the refund status in your App Store account:

Apple App Store:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.

  2. Tap on your name at the top, then tap on Media & Purchases.

  3. Select View Account and sign in if prompted.

  4. Tap on Purchase History to check the status of your refund.

Google Play Store:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.

  2. Tap on your profile icon at the top right, then tap Payments & subscriptions.

  3. Select Budget & history to view the refund status.

  4. Refunds from Google Play generally take between 3-5 business days, but it can take up to 10 business days depending on your bank.

2. Review Refund Processing Times by App Store:

  • Apple App Store: For purchases through the Apple App store, it can take up to 30 days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card issuer.

  • Google Play Store: For purchases through the Google Play store, refunds generally take between 3-5 business days, but it can take up to 10 business days depending on your bank.

3. Contact Your Bank or Card Issuer:

If you have confirmed the refund was processed by Apple or Google but it hasn't appeared in your account, contact your bank or card issuer for more information. They may have additional insights into the status of the refund.
