Connect with Shopflo

How to connect your Shopify store to Shopflo — install the Operator extension, verify Store Owner access, and create your custom Shopify app. Complete all four steps in order.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have the following ready.

For your Shopify store

  • Active Shopify store

  • Store Owner access — strictly required to proceed

For the Shopflo Operator extension

  • Shopflo account credentials — required to authenticate and run the operator

  • Chromium-based browser (Chrome recommended)

Verify your Store Owner access

To use the Shopflo Operator extension, your account must have Store Owner privileges. Without this, the extension cannot create or configure the required Shopify custom app credentials.

How to check

  1. Log in to your Shopify store.

  2. Go to Settings → Users and permissions (or Settings → Users, depending on your plan).

  3. Confirm your account is listed as Store owner.

If you are not the Store Owner — Request access from the current store owner before continuing.

💡 Multi-store owners: If you manage multiple Shopify stores under a single Shopify ID, log in to the specific store where you want Shopflo installed before running the extension.

Setup instructions

Step 1 — Install the Shopflo Operator browser extension

  1. Log in to your Shopflo dashboard and click Install Chrome Extension on the onboarding page.

If the onboarding page isn't visible, install directly from the Chrome Web Store: Shopflo Operator Extension

  1. Click Add to browser and confirm the installation.

Step 2 — Verify access before running the extension

Confirm you are logged in to the correct Shopify store and have Store Owner privileges (see above) before proceeding.

Step 3 — Log in using your Shopflo credentials

  1. Open the newly installed browser extension.

  2. Sign in with your Shopflo login credentials.

  3. Enter the OTP sent to your email to authenticate.

Step 4 — Create the Shopify custom app

  1. Click Create App Now in the extension. Shopflo automatically creates your custom app with all required access scopes.

  1. Wait for the automation to complete.

  2. On success, you are redirected to the Shopflo dashboard. If already logged in, you'll land on the onboarding page directly. If not, log in first to reach the onboarding page.

Verify Shopflo is connected

  • Click Collab access code — confirm the code is filled in.

  • Click Create custom app — confirm both app tokens are filled in.

✅ You're connected! Once the custom app is created and both the Collab access code and app tokens are confirmed on the onboarding page, Shopflo is ready to power your store's checkout.
