Based on your feedback, we’ve redesigned key pages in Thrive to make managing your products and inventory faster, more flexible, and more efficient.
All your existing features are still available, now with new tools and more ways to personalize your view.
How to Opt In
Opt In to the New Catalog Experience Beta by going to your Marketplace and selecting the New Catalog and Inventory UI option under the Built By Thrive Section
What's Changed
Your catalog experience features five specialized pages, each designed for specific tasks. The same core functions remain, with enhanced filtering and customization and over 50 new features. We've also created more granular permissions and now have additional decimal place support per customer requests!
Catalog Pages
Products View
Your hub for viewing and managing product-level information
Access it the same way: Catalog > Products & Variants
Bulk manage categories, shipping requirements, tax rates, and sales channel syncing.
Perfect for prepping for seasonal updates, promotions, or pricing changes that apply everywhere at once
Variants View
Dedicated view for managing product variants and attributes
Access via Catalog > Products & Variants > Variants
View Vendor SKU, Date Created/Updated, Add Vendor, and more.
Quickly spot inconsistencies like duplicate SKUs or mismatched naming conventions
Product Details Page (replaces the Edit Product page)
View and edit individual product information
Click any product from the Products or Variants View to open this page
Now includes editable Vendor SKU field, Modifier Group management, and shelf location assignment
Bins View (Most like the old Products Page)
Location-level inventory tracking for each item
Access via Inventory > Bins or Catalog>Products & Variants> Bins
Edit location-specific cost, price, reorder points, reorder targets, and quantities in bulk without opening each product
Draft Purchase Orders and Internal Transfers directly from your Bins List!
Bin Details Page
Detailed view of a specific variant at a specific location
Click any item on the Bins View to access
See stats at a glance, inventory history, lot history, in-transit items, and neighboring bins
Edit Quantities, Shelf, Tax Rates, Draft or Add items to an existing Purchase Order, and more
Enhanced User Permissions:
Separated Viewing permissions vs Editing: Users can now view products without being able to edit them, view costs without changing them, and see prices without managing them
Location-specific permissions: Restrict users to specific locations for most permissions. Perfect for multi-location businesses where store managers should have access only to their own store!
Cost permissions separated from other inventory permissions: "View cost & profit margins," "View costs everywhere," and "Manage costs" are now independent, giving you precise control over sensitive financial data
Stock count permissions refined: "View stock counts and prices," "View stock counts everywhere," and "Manage stock counts" let you control inventory visibility and editing separately
"Everywhere" Permissions: Grant users access to view or manage data across all locations regardless of their assigned location access.
Additional Decimal Place Support
Say goodbye to rounding! We've heard your feedback and are excited to introduce support for up to 10 decimal places across quantity and currency fields. This means:
Greater precision for costs, prices, quantities, and all monetary values
Flexible settings for daily operations versus reports
Improved accuracy for bundle components and inventory tracking
No more workarounds for products that require precise measurements
Configure your decimal preferences in Settings > Inventory once you've opted into the New Catalog Experience.
What's Staying the Same
Your data: All products, inventory levels, and settings are exactly where you left them
Core functions: Search, filter, edit products, and manage inventory the same way, with new options for customization.
Integrations: Your POS, eCommerce, and other connections are intact.
What's Better
Lightning-Fast Search & Editing
Edit products and variants directly from list views without clicking into each one. The simplified creation flow gets you moving faster.
Enhanced Bin & Shelf Management
Track exactly where items are located within each store or warehouse. Assign shelf locations to variants and quickly find items when fulfilling orders or doing Stocktakes.
Save Your Custom Views
Save your preferred filter combinations so you don't have to recreate them each time. Set up views for "Low Stock Items," "Products Not Counted Recently," or any combination that helps you work faster. Views are saved individually per user account.
22 New Filters to Find What You Need
Including: sales channel sync status, quantity in stock, low inventory alert, days remaining (for perishables), date of last sale, reorder points, price, and many more.
22 New Columns for Better Visibility
Add columns to see shelf life, days left, items on order, last sale date, last stocktake, taxes, vendor SKUs, margin, lot cost, dimensions, weight, and more without opening individual products.
Powerful Bulk Actions
Edit cost, prices, reorder points, categories, vendor assignments, tax rates, and sales channel syncing for multiple products at once! Perfect for high-volume workflows.
More Information at Your Fingertips
See tax information directly on product list pages
Vendor SKU visible in Product Details and Variants pages
Clear indicators showing which sales channels are enabled
Decimal precision for better accuracy
Clearer Organization: The Product Details page now groups information by section (Product Details, Variants, Inventory, Pricing, Shipping, Integrations) on one page, making it easier to find what you need.
