How does ShortStaf work exactly?

After you sign up for ShortStaf, fill out your profile, and complete Stripe, you will be able to apply to positions. One of the most important aspects of ShortStaf is filling out your profile accurately. You will only be alerted for jobs that you are qualified to work (selected in your profile). Once the shift is posted, you will be alerted immediately that a job has become available.

What happens next?

You think you would be a great fit for the job, so you apply! At the bottom of the screen, you can tap the "Apply" button, and the Host will receive your application. From there, your shift will become "Pending". If the Host accepts you for the position, you will be notified immediately.

There may be many applicants for the position you have applied for. The first Staf member to Confirm gets the job! Confirming for the job means you are committed to working and will be there for the shift.

After confirming, check-in will become available 24 hours before the shift start time. You must check-in to work the position. If you do not check-in, you will be removed from the shift and not receive payment.

You confirm, show up, work, and now, you get paid. Payment becomes available to you 24 hours after the shift. It will show in your Stripe account, then automatically be transferred to the bank account you have selected when you signed up.
