Can I register for a contributor account as a business?

Business accounts must send us separate documents to register

Updated over 3 weeks ago

If you are new to Shutterstock and wish to register as a business, enter your full legal business name in the Full Name field instead of your full legal name.

If you already have an individual Shutterstock account and wish to transfer it to a business account, you can learn more about the process here. It is also possible to hold both an individual and a business account if you do not share content between them. In both scenarios, please contact us for help during the final steps.

Whether you are registering for the first time as a business, transferring your individual account to a business account, or creating a business account alongside your individual account, you will need to submit a completed tax form to receive payments.

If your business is based in the United States, you must complete a Form W-9.

If your business is based outside of the United States, you must complete a Form W-8BEN-E with a U.S. Employer ID Number (EIN). An EIN can be obtained by completing and filing Form SS-4. Learn more about submitting W-8BEN-E tax form here.

There may be other circumstances that require you to submit other tax forms. All forms and tax-related information and further instructions can be found in our Tax Center. Please note that payments will not be issued to accounts that do not have an approved tax form on file.
