Why does it take time to withdraw from a savings account? Isn’t it “Easy Access”?

Updated over 2 months ago

We understand that “Easy Access” can be interpreted as “instant access” — but in the context of UK regulated banking, they’re not the same.

Our Easy Access savings account allows withdrawals at any time, but:

  • Savings must first be moved from the Savings Account to your Wallet

  • Then a separate step is required to withdraw from Wallet to bank

Transfers from Savings to Wallet are processed in the afternoon on business days (Mon–Fri), typically before 7pm

  • Requests made before 11am will usually be processed same day

  • Requests made after 11am will roll over to the next business day

Once in your Wallet, you can withdraw to your bank as outlined above. While this isn’t “instant,” the process is generally completed within 24 hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays).
