In the Signhost web portal, you can create and manage APPKeys, postback URLs, and shared secrets on the Developer Page. Developers need these to set up an API integration.
Only users with the Admin role have access to this functionality.
Application Keys
Create an APPKey
Click on Get Started to go directly to the Application Keys page.
Select Generate Key.
In the Key Description field, enter a recognizable name for the APPKey.
Click on Generate.
Click Copy to copy the APPKey to your clipboard, or select Download to save the APPKey as a
.txtfile.
⚠️ Important: The APPKey will only be displayed once. Be sure to copy and store it securely immediately.
Need multiple APPKeys? Click Generate More to create additional APPKeys. Finished? Click Done to complete the process.
Resetting/Deleting an APPKey
Resetting: Click the reset icon (blue circular arrow) next to the APPKey. The Key Description will remain the same, but a new APPKey will be generated.
Deleting: Click the delete icon (red trash bin) next to the APPKey.
⚠️ After a reset or deletion, the old key will no longer be usable. Only reset or delete a key if it is no longer active in production.
Tip: Store the new key securely as soon as you reset it.
Postbacks
Register a Postback URL
Click on Get Started to go directly to the Postbacks page.
Select Add Postback to create a new postback URL.
Enter the Postback URL.
Optionally, add an authorization header.
Click on Add to save the postback and generate the Shared Secret.
Click Copy to copy the Shared Secret to your clipboard, or select Download to save it as a
.txtfile.
⚠️ Important: The Shared Secret code will only be displayed once. Be sure to copy and store it securely immediately.
You can set up multiple postback URLs by clicking Add URL.
Deleting a Postback URL
Click the delete icon (red trash bin) next to the corresponding postback URL to delete it. ⚠️ Note: This action is irreversible.
