Updating your Application Status on a BC submission

BC does not use Loanapp for assessment, so you have to manually update your Loanapp record as status change once being assessed by BC

When you x-channel submit to BC from your own Loanapp, it is sent to BC Capitol which is where BC will do their final assessment and approvals.

BC Capitol is NOT connected to your own Loanapp channel - therefore the status updates that BC make on your deal as they assess are not replicated in your own Loanapp.

This will mean if a Mortgage Broker logs in to your Loanapp, it will not have updated with BC's current status on the assessment and approval. You will need to update your own Loanapp record to keep the broker up to date.

This article takes you through how to update statuses in your Loanapp record.

Update your own Loanapp record manually

When BC sends you a status update on an application, where you want to, you can then update your the original Loanapp submission in your Loanapp channel, so that brokers are also able to see the status.

To do this, find the record in your own Loanapp, on the application dashboard:

To update the status on this record, click on the three dots at the far right of the record:

This will present to you a menu of actions for that record. Choose "Set Status":

A new window will popup with a Dropdown in Set Status:

Use the dropdown to select the status that you would like to set on your record eg:

You can change the 'owner' of the application to a specific teammember if you like (but you would most likely just leave as is):

And when you click Set Status, the Loanapp record will update to the new status:

This will mean that when your broker logs in to check on their submission, they will see this updated status that you have set.

Note, if you get this warning, this is OK to continue (its remembering your own work on the submission):

You are able to set and re-set the status as many times as you need to (or want to).
