The Field Navigation panel gives you a 'tree' of your Documents' Merge Blocks, and Merge Fields. It allows an easy visibility and navigation through all fields and merge blocks.

To switch on the Field Navigation panel, click the Field Navigation button:

A new panel will appear, which will list all the Merge Blocks, and Merge fields you have configured into your Document:

For each Merge Block, you can click on the + sign next to the name of the Merge Block to expand the block, and see what Merge Data Fields are currently configured inside the block. Here I have expanded Company Applicants:

Note that you may have sub-Merge Blocks within Merge Blocks.

When you expand a Merge Block, you might see sub-Merge Blocks within it. Note in the following 1) Person Applicants Merge Block; I have 2) sub-Merge Blocks of ProofOfID and Employments; and then 3) sub-sub-Merge blocks inside Employments of PAYG and SelfEmployed.

In order for repeating Blocks of data to behave correctly, you need to ensure the 'nesting' of the merge blocks within each other is correct. The Field Navigation allows you to check these nesting relationships.

Using Field Navigation to Navigate to specific sections in a Document

You are able to click on a Merge Block line item on the Field Navigation tree, and it take you to (and highlight) where that Merge Block is configured in your Document:

If you expand a Merge Block section and then click on a specific Merge Data Field within the Merge Block, it will take you to/highlight that specific field:

You can also check (and edit) the 'Properties' of a field:

And delete a field, or whole Merge Block, from your document:
