To Copy/Clone an application, you need to be logged in to Simpology Manager.

This is the 'home' of Loanapp. If you have used Loanapp from within your Aggregator CRM, you won't have come in to Loanapp through Simpology Manager - but you will still have access.

To find out more about Simpology Manager, and how to get access, please click here.

The main page in Simpology Manager is the Application Grid.

If you would like to copy an application, you will need to find the application you want to copey in your Application Grid. You can do this by filtering, and the easiest thing to do is to use the Search functionality here:

I want to copy (clone) an existing deal for Mary Smith; and searching via Smith I have located two existing applications.

Note: if you don't find your app, make sure all your coloured Status buttons are ticked on in order to see applications in all of the Statuses. In my example, I am NOT seeing Smith applications that are OPEN or FINALISED (as these are not ticked on), I am seeing Smith applications in any of the other coloured statuses.

I want to copy APP-15486, Mary & Frank Smith. To Copy, I click on the 3 dots at the end of the Application Record:

And select from the pop-up menu Copy Application:

This will present a new pop-up to finalise the detail for your Copy. You can choose to:

  • Copy Documents - this will copy not only the data in the application but also the supporting documents you uploaded and attached in the original Smith deal

  • Reset Baseline items - if you leave this clicked, then the copied application will 'reset' items that should be 'fresh' in a new application:

    • the Privacy Consent should be re-completed

    • the anticipated Settlement Date should be re-entered for this new application

    • the status of the application should be fresh (not linked to the old application)

    • Note if you are cloning an app immediately after creating the original, you might want to leave all this detail as is. If so - untick this item

    • Set Title for the new Application - You need to overwrite the old App title with a new Title. This is useful so that you have a distinct title for this new app (for reference, searching etc)

When you click COPY, you will next get a new Popup with confirmation of the successful creation of the copy:

If you Select CLOSE on this popup, you will see the new Application record in your OPEN applications on the Application Grid:

If you Select OPEN IN LOANAPP on the popup, the copied application will open in Loanapp and you can start working on this new Copied Application:
