Sales Over Time Widget ✔

Track past sales trends with the Sales Over Time widget to anticipate seasonal demand and plan staffing.

Overview

The Sales Over Time widget is a powerful tool for tracking your company’s booking performance and identifying seasonal sales trends. Unlike revenue-based reports, which look at work that has already been finished, this widget focuses on the Total Won Sales you have brought into the business.

Key Features

Data Source

This widget pulls data directly from the Sales Rep Report, specifically calculating the sum of the Invoice Total column.

Date Logic

Calculations are based on the Proposal Created Date or Job Created Date. This means it reflects when a sale was "put on the books," regardless of when the physical work is scheduled to happen.

Operational Breakdown

Data is automatically grouped by Operation, allowing you to see which areas of your business (e.g., Maintenance vs. Design/Build) are driving the most sales growth.

Actionable Insights

Use this to anticipate seasonal demand, adjust staffing for upcoming busy periods, and measure the effectiveness of your sales team's efforts in real-time.

Drill-Down Access

Clicking any data point or bar on the widget will take you directly to the filtered Sales Rep Report, where you can view the specific jobs and proposals included in those totals.

💡If you are looking for work that has been completed and is ready to bill, we recommend using the Revenue Over Time widget instead, as it tracks work based on its completion and approval status
