A Job represents the entire project. A Visit represents one day of work completed as part of that project. Visits are scheduled individually—not Jobs. For example, if a Job takes three days to complete, you must schedule three separate Visits.
A single Visit cannot be scheduled across multiple days.

Which Setup to Use
Your situation | Use this |
You know upfront the work takes several days | Recurring Job |
Work was scheduled for one day and did not finish | Visit Splitting |
Option 1: Recurring Job
This is the better setup when you already know the work spans several days. It keeps all your job data in one place, lets you assign specific line items to specific Visits, and lets you schedule every Visit from the same page.
On the Job, set it to Recurring instead of One-Off
Choose Custom frequency and enter the number of Visits
Set Estimation Type to Specify Items for each Visit if the work differs day to day, or Apply all Items to each Visit if it is the same work each day
Go to Calendar, open Unscheduled Tasks and Visits, and drag each Visit onto its day
Option 2: Visit Splitting
Use this when a One-Off Job was scheduled for a single day and the crew did not finish.
Confirm the Job has at least two Line Items. Splitting moves at least one entire Line Item to the new Visit. If the Job has only one Item, edit the Job first and add a second line of the same Item type, adjusting the quantity on each line to reflect what gets done on each Visit
Open the Job Show page, not the Edit Job page, and click Split
Pick the date and time for the next Visit. Leave it blank and the Visit lands in Unscheduled
Under Move, check the Line Items going to the next Visit
Click Save and Close, or Save and New to create a third Visit
You can keep splitting a One-Off Job with no cap.
Additional Notes
Dragging the same Visit onto a second day is not possible. Each Visit holds one scheduled slot
Split Visits create one invoice per Visit. Combine them with an Invoice Rollup if the client should see a single bill
There is no "Unsplit" button. Reversing a split means adding the Line Items back to the original Visit and deleting the extra one
What About Tasks?
Tasks work differently. There is no split option and no recurring setting, so a Task covering several days means creating one Task per day.
⚠️ Note: Tasks do not hold line items or generate invoices. If you are scheduling crew production work across multiple days, set it up as a Recurring Job and use Visits instead.
