Want to find one or more Suppliers? Or maybe a Brand & Chain? Sion provides a few ways to quickly locate what you need. We’ll go over them all in this article.
Note: Depending on if you are a Host Agency, Independent Contractor, or In-House Agent, you may see different filter options. Not every user has access to every filter.
Global Search
The global search function allows you to look for any data from any place in Sion that matches your search terms. For more information on how to use it, see the article here.
Quick Search
Note: Using the quick search works for both Suppliers and Brands & Chains. Simply enter your criteria and then click either the Suppliers or Brands & Chains tab to see the desired results. For more information on brands, see the article Understanding Brands & Chains.
In the Filters bar, there is a Quick Search field. Click inside the field and enter your search criteria. Depending on if you are looking for Clients or Suppliers, you will be able to search by some of the following:
Supplier Name - All or part of the Supplier name can be used to search.
Tags - Search by tags assigned to Suppliers. For more information on adding tags to Suppliers, see the article here.
Chain Codes - Use chain codes to find Brands & Chain members.
Filter Bar
Note: Filters work for both Suppliers and Brands & Chains. Simply enter your criteria and then click either the Suppliers or Brands & Chains tab to see the desired results of your filter selections. For more information on brands, see the article Understanding Brands & Chains.
In the filter bar, you have several options for finding clients or Suppliers. Click Clients or Suppliers in the top menu depending on which contact you are searching for.
Use the filters bar to change what’s visible in the queue. The filter bar is located on the left.
Note that at the top of some filter categories, there is a gear icon. If you want to make an advanced filter, click the icon to select further filter options. Some of the options will change the title of the section.
If you hover over a filter, there is an ellipses icon. Click the icon to see more options for selecting (or deselecting) multiple options at once.
On hover, some filters will also have a magnifying glass icon that lets you search that section. For example, if you know the name of an Agency you want to search by, you can click the icon and then enter the agency name instead of scrolling through the list.
Below we’ll go over all of the available filters. Note that not all filter options will work for Brands & Chains as the information is not relevant:
Supplier Verification - Use the checkbox to view Sion-verified Suppliers or manually added Suppliers. For more information about verified Suppliers, see the article Verified Suppliers.
Location - Enter a country, city, town, neighborhood, or main attraction such as a large airport, to locate Suppliers in the same geographic area. This filter only works for Verified Suppliers.
Preferred Programs - Verified Suppliers can belong to a preferred program. Use the checkboxes to filter Suppliers based on programs they may be a part of.
Type - Use the checkbox to filter Suppliers by categories. Categories are based on the type of service they offer such as if they’re an Airline, Cruise Line, etc.
IATA # - Use the checkboxes to filter Suppliers based on the IATA # associated with them.
Agencies- Use the checkbox to filter Suppliers based on the booking agency or contractors they’ve used.
Note: As you filter Suppliers, you’ll notice that the top Production Reports will change. The data displayed is based on what’s visible in the queue. You can also use Reporting to update these summaries based on specific criteria. See our article here on reporting.
