You can export booking information as either a PDF or CSV file from Sion. When exporting the information you’ll have options to customize the amount of information and the format of the information in your download.

To export booking information, click Download in the top right.

The Export Bookings window will open, where you can customize your download. There are three tabs in the window to select your settings, we’ll go through each in this article.

Note: There are Presets that you can use to keep your download settings as a template for later exports. See the article here on Export Presets for more information.

File Settings

By default, the File Settings tab displays in the Export Bookings window. Here is where you select the type of file that you want to export and the basic settings for it.

The first step is to choose to export your information as either a CSV or PDF. Click the appropriate file type.

Once you’ve selected your file type, you can enter the Filename for your export.

In the right section of the window, you’ll see a Group by dropdown. Here you can select how you want to organize the information in the download. By default, None is selected, meaning that your data will display in the report in the same order it shows on the Bookings page.

If you group a PDF, you will see additional options for your export, such as how to sort the organization of information. In the example above, the export will display the information grouped by agent, in alphabetical order based on the agent’s name.

Once you select your grouping, you can toggle additional information options below. The options available will depend on if you chose to download a PDF or CSV file and if you chose to group the export.

For example, the Skip rows and export summary option is only available if you’ve grouped your export. This feature streamlines a report to only show the totals of a grouping rather than every line item. For example, you would see the total commissions for an agent instead of each of the individual commission amounts.

Dark gray means that an option is selected and the switch was toggled to the right. Light gray means that it was not selected and the switch was toggled to the left.

Once you’re done with your selections, it’s time to select the columns you want in your export.

Selecting Columns

Click the Columns tab in the Export Bookings window.

Use the checkboxes to select or deselect which columns you want in your export.

To add all columns to your download, toggle the switch at the top to the right.

To deselect all of the columns, toggle the switch at the top back to the left.

Note: There are some columns that must be manually deselected depending on the file type and presets you’ve chosen. This is to prevent an empty report being run!

Make sure you have selected all the desired columns before moving onto ordering the columns in your download.

Ordering Information

Click the Order tab at the top of the Export Bookings window. Here you can select what order the columns you selected appear in your downloads.

Use the arrows to move a column up or down in its display order or use the left dropdown to select what order a column will display.

The columns will display in left to right order, with 1 being the left most.

When you’re done, click Export to download your information.

A Notifications window will appear on the right. Hover over your download and you’ll see an option to Download File. Once you click the button, the file will be saved on your device.

You also have the option to Delete the file if you no longer want it.
