Want to find one or more payments in Sion? There are two ways to quickly find what you need, we’ll go over them both in this article.

Note: Depending on your permission levels and if you are a host agency, independent contractor, or in-house agent, you may see different filter options. Not every user has access to every filter.

Global Search

The global search function allows you to look for any data from any place in Sion that matches your search terms. For more information on how to use it, see the article here.

Filter Bar

In the filter bar you have several options for finding payments. First, click Commissions in the top menu.

Next, select the Reconciled or Unreconciled tab based on the results that you want to see.

Now you can use the filters bar to change what’s visible in the queue. The filter bar is located on the left of the Commissions page.

Note that at the top of some filter categories, there is a gear icon. If you want to make an advanced filter, hover over the category and click the icon to select further filter options.

The ellipses icon will also show on hover with more options for selecting or deselecting multiple filters at once.

Some filters will also have a magnifying glass icon visible when you hover over the category. The icon lets you search that section. For example, if you know the name of an agent you want to search by, you can click the icon and then enter the agent name instead of scrolling through the list of agent names.

Here’s a breakdown of the different filter options:

  • Filters - This is a search bar where you can enter a keyword, results will populate in a dropdown.

    • You can either select an option from the dropdown and search specifically for that client, supplier, trip, tag, etc. For example, if you start to type Tim and then select the name Tim Whatley in the dropdown, only results matching Tim Whatley will show.

    • Hit Enter to search for any matching payments for your search. For example, if you type Tim and hit Enter, you will see any results that contain the letters tim together. This can be helpful if you only know part of a supplier or client name or only a section of a set of confirmation numbers.

  • Dates - Use the gear icon, mentioned above, to change what dates you filter by. The filter selected will change this section name. For example, if you select Created, this section will be called Created and will filter payments based on the date they were made in the system.

  • Status - Filter payments based on if they have been reconciled to a booking successfully or not. For more information on statuses, see the article here.

  • IATA or Agency Identifier - Use the checkbox to filter payments based on the booking IATA or other identifier.

  • Agencies- Use the checkbox to filter payments based on the booking agency or contractor.

  • Agents - Use the checkbox to filter payments based on the booking agent.

  • Type - Use the checkbox to filter payments based on the payment method.

  • Invoice Type - Filter payments based on the invoice type of the booking event.

  • Source - Filter payments based on if they were manually added to Sion or automatically added by an integration or batch import.

Note: As you filter payments, you’ll notice that the top two summary sections will also change. The summaries are based on what is displayed in the queue. You can also use Reporting to update these summaries based on specific criteria. See our article here on payment reporting.
