Customize SitePad's panes and fields in each module

The Panes section allows users to reorder, hide, and customize core and custom fields in each of SitePad's modules.

Selecting a Module to Edit

To choose the module you wish to edit, use the dropdown menu in the top right of the Pane. Available modules include:

  • Customers

  • Prospects

  • Sites

  • Leads

  • Contacts

  • Quotations

  • Quotation Lines

  • Hire Contracts

  • Tasks

  • Client Groups

  • Sales Invoices

Managing Panes

  • Edit a Pane: Tap the name of the Pane, rename it, and hit Save.

  • Hide a Pane: Tap the name of the Pane, check the 'Hidden' checkbox, and hit Save.

  • Reorder Panes: Drag and drop a Pane to the desired location within a module.

  • Hide Fields in a Pane: Tap the spanner icon on the desired Pane, then tap the eye icon.

Editing Fields in a Pane

When editing a field in a Pane, the following options are available:

  • Updated by Administrators only – Restricts field updates to administrators.

  • Notify on Update – Sends email notifications when the field is updated (supports multiple recipients).

  • Mandatory – Requires the field to be completed before saving the record.

  • Include in Advanced Filter – Adds the field to the Advanced Filter for the selected module.

Adding a Custom Field

  1. Tap the spanner icon on the desired Pane.

  2. Tap the New button.

  3. Select a field type, enter a label, and hit Save.

Supported Field Types

  • Text

  • Text Area

  • Integer

  • Decimal

  • Currency

  • Date

  • Time of Day

  • Check Box

  • Selection List

  • Hyperlink

  • Phone Number

  • Email Address

  • Subtitle

  • Horizontal Rule

  • Terms & Conditions (links to documents stored in Data Settings)

  • Customer Lookup (search field for customer records)

  • Client Group Lookup (search field for customer group records)

  • Upload File

Custom fields are automatically integrated into SitePad's API, enabling both POST and FETCH operations.
