If you are unable to see your portfolio balance or your balance is showing as zero when it shouldn't be, this might be happening for a few reasons.
Unplanned maintenance in our tech systems
Most system maintenance happens outside of market hours but sometimes we need to complete maintenance on our tech systems (or our tech partner's need to complete work) without a lot of warning which means that balances may be showing as zero, even if your balance is higher than zero.
Temporary delay in market data flowing through to your account
To access accurate information about securities and investments in the app we connect through to market data services. Sometimes there are temporary outages or delays in the data flowing through to SIX which means balances in your account and trading information may be outdated or not showing at all.
Where possible, we will always try to notify you of any outages or delays in the app with a pop up banner.
If your balance is showing as zero or not showing at all, its very likely a delay in data or information being displayed and not a result of anything changing with your portfolio or shareholdings. If you are concerned about your account or have any questions, you can always reach out to the team!
