🪪 How to find your current broker’s details and PID
Your broker will have a Participant Identification Number or PID, which identifies them as an authorised ASX trader (usually four or five digits long).
If you’re not sure where to find your broker’s details, your most recent statement is a good place to look.
You can also see a list of common PIDs here. (If your broker has an executing or settling partner, you might see two names listed).
🧾 How to find your current share details
The easiest way to see the security codes, quantity and average price of your shares is in a holding statement. You can often generate a holding statement in your online share registry account - or you can ask your broker to provide one.
Other types of statements you can use to confirm your shareholdings include dividend statements, account statements, periodic reports or statements, or a CHESS statement.
📑 Confirm your account details are up-to-date
Make sure you’ve checked that the information on your current account is up-to-date - if details like your name (including middle name) or address don’t match, your transfer request will be rejected.
