Transporeon Visibility automatically improves the accuracy of stop address geofences based on detected stop arrival locations. These enhancements create Places, referred to as Auto-generated Places, which are also used for tracking just like regular Places.

Auto-generated places are marked by the Transporeon Visibility logo in the list of places. BB Fabriek Amsterdam in this example:

An auto-generated Place is created for addresses where vehicles often stop. The system uses data from vehicle braking locations to find these stops and then adjusts the area (geofence) around the address to better match where the vehicles actually stop. This might mean moving or resizing the geofence to fit better.

Before: Geofence (yellow area) created from stop address data & GPS detected, vehicle arrival locations (blue pins):

After: Auto-generated Place based on detected arrival locations:

Note: A vehicle braking outside of the stop geofence does not recognize a stop visit. It is important that the geofence is correctly located and sized to capture the vehicle brakes, as shown in the picture above.

Taking ownership of auto-generated places

You can take ownership of auto-generated places and edit Place details: Change the reference ID, further adjust geofences, or add more address aliases.

If an Auto-generated Place is edited, it is converted into a regular Place and the Transporeon Visibility Auto-generated Places feature no longer makes any further changes to that Place:
