You do not need to take any action. For transports where you are the executing carrier, the platform can now allocate a vehicle automatically when it finds a high-confidence match.
If you already turned autonomous allocation off, that setting is unchanged. It will not be turned back on for you.
Why we are enabling it
Transports are often executed without a vehicle being allocated in Visibility Hub. When that happens, your customers do not receive tracking updates or ETAs, even though the trip is taking place.
Autonomous allocation closes that gap. If an integrated vehicle’s location closely matches the transport plan, the platform assigns that vehicle automatically. Customers still get ETA and status updates, and you do not have to allocate every transport by hand.
This is a fallback only. The platform allocates only when no other allocation already exists, and only on a high-confidence match. Any later manual allocation immediately overrides an autonomous allocation, so you stay in control.
To protect data and privacy, autonomously allocated transports use limited visibility by default:
ETA is calculated
Transport status updates are shared
Vehicle position is not shared
Transports forwarded to subcontractors are not included.
If you want to turn it off
If you prefer that the platform does not autonomously allocate your vehicles, you can revoke this functionality in Visibility settings.
See the existing article for how to turn it off: Autonomous allocation.
